Madrid-Barajas is Spain’s largest and most important aviation hub servicing some 50 million passengers a year. It is also Europe’s sixt largest airport (2016). At ITB 2006 Magdalena Álvarez, Spain’s Minister of Transport at the time, presented the key facts involved in opening the new T4 terminal.
