Rockin’ and rollin’ – for 150 years.
June 22, 1865, is considered the birth of the tram in Germany. It was on this day that a horse-drawn tram travelled for the first time from the Brandenburg Gate via today’s Strasse des 17. Juni to Charlottenburg.
On the occasion of the anniversary, the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), Berlin’s public transport company, invited to take a stroll through the history of the tram in May 2015. On Berlin’s Alexanderplatz, Jörg Thadeusz moderated a public ceremony with speeches, interviews with contemporary witnesses and an exhibition of historic vehicles.
The contracting party, BVG, commissioned us to design the media activities and support its planning and implementation.
